If you go to the client menu, to rendering > surface (I think that's the term, can't quite recall) you can uncheck that and turn off the ground briefly, you should be able to see the item then.

There are 2 ways:
1) Click CTRL+ALT+SHFT+U to make the ground transparent. You can use your camera to see down. Use the same key combo to make ground visible again.
2) Open an EDIT window and draw a square on the ground around the area where you suspect the object to be located. Any objects will be highlighted and you'll be able to pull them up.

When you are able, go in and get into Edit mode (you can do this on any object) then, at the spot where you know the object to be just (oh crap, been so long since I did any building I forget if its right click or left click)...well, hell try both. You just click and hold it down and drag your mouse out. It will create a sort of "box" and everything within the box will be selected to be moved. Knowing exactly where your item is helps and you can just move it after you get it in the box.

ANOTHER way to do it...go in and Disable Camera Constraints (Oy what a day to not be able to get online, its under Server, or...ok someone come in and tell this poor soul that I am confusing where that is). Once you disable camera constraints you can then zoom your view under ground and find your object to edit it.

Boy...Id be able to help much more in game LOL...sorry about my clear as mud answer. Someone will probably clear it up :o

Edit to add...I didnt even think of turning off the land. GL with your object! :D

if you have the 'client' & 'server' menu's at the top of your screen do a ctrl-alt-shift-5 that toggles the surface patch on and off. I you dont have those 2 menus do a ctrl-alt-shift-D to get them. Then do your ctrl-alt-shift-5

Thanks guys for your help, after one hour of trying I finally got it right, the only thing that really helped was Alt+Ctrl+Shift+5 combination – the stupid object magically appeared and was easy to pull it up. The Edit+drag a square thing never helped – the square is 2 dimensional, not 3 dimensional and it includes sometimes objects that are far away, changes its place depending on the viewing angle and it’s just impossible to find or click the lost object this way. Thanks again everybody for your time and Najmah Handayani – you really saved me - thanks a LOT!!!

New Problem

Sigh, it never ends... Somewhere between the new update and me looking for this object something happened - now I see blue/red cone shaped semi transparent forms/particles that move from my feet up to my head, I see this sometimes on other people and objects too and I have never seen this before. Do you guys have any idea what it is and how can I get rid of it?
