Who owns an object that sends you a message. Recently someone sent me several in green text griefing me, the object named the names of my alts. (So it showed Name Name: message... as if it was coming from them. Nothing serious, because I have an ID feature in my mystitool activated now. The problem is I did not turn it on in time to get the object name/location/owner.

It's a long shot, but perhaps if I filed a ticket a Linden could find out? *shrug*

edit: also, no one else with me could see the text but it appeared in local chat for me, sort of like when you buy something from a vendor it thanks you for the purchase. The area where I was had build off, so it was not anything near me. Therefor it had to be elsewhere, a skilled friend of mine in this department told me that it is possible to send messages from other sims.

If that helps any.

Nothing you can do, sorry.

Though if it stopped, why do you care?

And if it happens again then your good now with your mystitool.

Edit: Sometimes if the sender is in another region Mystitool will just spit out a key instead of there name. If that happenes feel free to give me a shout inworld (posting even a key here is naming names) And I'll change it into there name :)

It sounds like an instant message from an object, simply mute it in chat?

Anyways, if you log out and it sends you a message, the email tells who owns it and gives a SLurl, so you could find out that way?
