Daily it gets worse and worse, nothing will work, frames are down to 2 at best, and the dialation is at 0. And no scripts will run, nothing. Is it bad enough that we have to face this failing economy, now the OS crap, and now this? The best I can get is LL is migrating most of the mainland over the next few weeks. WEEKS!!! I have to deal with zero performance for a few weeks. And I am supposed to absord this huge loss of sales and traffic. I honestly am doubtful that I can. Perhaps "Carnivale Amusements" will be yet another casualty, I am teetering on oblivion here, and not too happy about it. Just a glimpse, unfortunately my sim monitor crashed in the 14 sim crashes it reported just yesterday, yeah. http://flickr.com/photos/carnivaleamusements/3041117056/http://flickr.com/photos/carnivaleamusements/3040276661/

Are you saying that this is your experience over the entire mainland or just a few regions?
Ive spent the last 7 days doing a cutom job on the mainland and it's been refreshingly lag free with excellent FPS.

I have two very different regions, and both are borked. Hugely so, I have to delete things some 6 times, and no scripts will run at all.

cheap plug, to my sim stats, how is that going to benefit me, lol
There was a post saying that LL was migrating some 500 sims. I just want to know if this is the why, or if i should just give up on mainland all together.

It's normal for me too. If it's just one sim, I'd ask for it to be restarted.

Maybe it's just certain regions or blocks of regions. If the whole mainland was like this I think there would be allot more compaints on the forums. Have you submitted a ticket, requested restarts?

sorry, my sense of humor has not kicked in for days. I did reboot it, and every sim monitor I can throw up all say that the sim itself is preforming badly. I have not really changed much for weeks now, and it is an amusemnt park yes, but it has been up and running well for months.
I submitted tickets too, so I should expect a reply by about January, lol, kidding, well sort of.

It appears to be blocks of regions to me, and fortunately, my sim isn't affected. However, no matter where I go, flying or walking across a region boundary is a nightmare. I haven't seen region rebounding like this since version 1.7. Anyone else having this problem? Or should I blame my ISP?

it is, LL listed 500 sims, all mainland of course, that they are migrating over the next few weeks, which is what troubles me. An estimated few weeks, that could be anything really, months, who knows. the list is here, I am not on it, but it also is not 500 sims either, and it says it is approximate, and apparently not mainland either, maybe I have some info mixed up here, which would be why I asked this question, lol http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2008/11/18/post330/#more-330

I have public spaces in Iris, Bella, Sutherland, Oswald and Olber. I check them every day, experiment with builds, chat with other people and scan for additional land. I have seen below 1.0 Time Dilation very rarely, even on Iris which is an Infohub.
I have Bella as a public rezzing place for the internal Atoll waterway and like to buy new bots and drive around. There has been no problem doing this. I have no sky builds, everything is on the ground in each region, including Oswald where I own nearly the entire region and it is prim-packed. I like to watch the sim statisics and am not seeing a problem.
If you can get Live Help over to your problem areas see if there's some peculiar going on. None of the regions I mentioned are on that list so I on't know how that factors in.

Yeah, Venusian is seeing some dilation, but it's certainly nothing like 0 FPS... wherever those numbers came from, that source is probably more borked than the sim itself.
By any chance, were any holiday decorations or anything rezzed around the time the problems started? Especially anything physical: Each frame is using at least 36msec in Havoc, which is very, very bad.
Incidentally, I don't think the migration is very likely to be the cause (nor fix) for this.

Is it bad enough that we have to face this failing economy, now the OS crap, and now this? That's really bad. For myself, I've not seen mainland rates as low as yours in the last two weeks. I've had a frame rate and dilation that compares with the private estate I work on. Is it just in a particular mainland location, or anywhere? Can you check your experience in a number of different ones -- say, Grub Beach, Crumbi, Varney, Furu for a variety of ones I've been in recently (without promoting mainland I personally own!) -- and compare. Hate to lose your good works.

They actually figured it out, hugely offensive script was dragging me down. It turned one of my rezzers into a virtual popcorn popper. Popping out physical prims, hundreds of them. Now we can talk about installing God tools on the mainland, lol

lol, well that was the 'conspiracy' that crossed my mind, that they dialed down the performance, trust me, this is a common fear on the OS front. But no, it was my bad, well I made the item that was in question. Months ago, but still, corrupted items be damned.

That's interesting...wonder why they're doing that? As far as things working properly on mainland, the sim I live on has been fine. Course it's also primarily empty but not complaining
