I have bought land sometime ago and have been building. Today i was just adding a few things and looking for something in the setting and accidently returned all the 800 ish count of items on my land to my inventory!
Yes im stupid i know well this resulted in 2 broken boxes in my lost and found so i thought just rez them 1 by 1 again and everything should be there. Well i dont know what happened but i now have a 58 count with most of my lower level missing inc 10 zyngo games. Where have they gone? I cant see them anywhere?
And i dont have them in my inventory?
Can someone tell me how i find them? BTW i looked on the map and cant see any of my lost objects on there? not sure what else to do?

they are probably gone forever.
when you rez no copy items that have coelesced, they usually disappear.

Sadly, I think your other bits are probably gone. There is no reason why they would not be returned with the others ifthat were not the case unless they were put down in a group and actually belong to other people. Check with others who might have access on your land or look in the inventories of any alts you have. If you rezzed something as an alt it will be returned to them, if your friends, associates, business partners rezzed stuff it will have been returned to them also. Not much else can be suggested or done really.

Unfortunately, you did everything right and there's not much you can do. You said you had 2 broken boxes, in lost and found. Was there anything else in there? When objects are returned, they'll sometimes appear as a single box.
One other remote possibility, I'll stress remote, if it's estate land and you're the only resident, the estate owner may be able to arrange for a sim roll back.

From: ErROr Wycliffe What should i have done? There are a couple of things that can make it easier to deal with coalesced objects. One is to rez them first on a platform at a vacant altitude in the middle of a large sandbox, so parts that are scattered some distance from the rezzing point will still have somewhere to go, rather than land on somebody else's parcel and get re-returned or refuse to rez. The other thing is to open the editor (Control-3) before rezzing the coalesced object from inventory; that way the whole mess will be already selected so you can position it as a group. But with 800 items, it's very likely some of it just never made the journey to your Lost & Found in the initial return. I don't think there's any hard-and-fast limit, but it does seem that stuff doesn't always make it--and that used to be much worse, before coalesced objects were introduced. (One does wonder, though, whether it's just a coincidence that all the Zyngo games are among the stuff that won't rez. Or, never mind Zyngo, just in general, I don't know what happens when one tries to rez a coalesced object that contains something blacklisted from rezzing but not removed from world.)

I sympathise with you (been there, done that). In my case I changed my land from sole ownership to a group controlled by me. When I set the land to 1 minute auto-return, 1 minute later my home diasppeared! In the end I built a new place, from scratch, which is better than what stood there before. I also lock everything in place so it can't be deleted by accidental mis-selection.

From: Conifer Dada I also lock everything in place so it can't be deleted by accidental mis-selection. I also have started locking stuff after deleting my friend's castle (we enabled friend's editting rights). As an aside, we have noticed that friend's editting rights (and group rights I guess) don't override lock, ie I think lock is unique to the owner of the object.

From: Derek Tafler lock is unique to the owner of the object. Yes, it is. Group members cannot remove locks, and those who have modify rights over your objects also cannot remove a lock. .

To lock, go into edit and select the "object" tab. You'll see 4 or 5 tickboxes, you just need to select the "lock" one. Sorry, not online to give exact details.
After it's locked, whenever you need to work on the prim or linkset, you'll need to unlock it by unticking it. When finished, just tick it again.
Once locked, if you press delete or take, you'll get a warning box. Be warned, though. If you're not paying attention, even though it's locked, it's still delete-able - I've done it, plenty of times.
