probly not possible, but is it possible via combining scripts, linking, unlinking, anything to have flexi prims actually collide with other things? when i saw collide, i basiclaly mean real-world stuff. where they can't go through each other, the flexi would drape over the other objects

But the question is if flexible objects can still collide with things, and I believe that answer is no, regardless of whether or not it's turned off. _____________________

I guess, technically, one could get flexis to generate collision events using llVolumeDetect, but that doesn't work for attachments, and anyway the events would occur at times totally unrelated to how things looked on the screen--just when the un-flexed shape bumped into something else. This certainly would be nothing like draping over other objects.
(But wouldn't it be great if long flexi hair didn't punch stake-like through torsos?) To toggle rendering of flexibility, press Control-Alt-F9 (or Advanced / Rendering / Features / Flexible Objects). _____________________

Simple answer. No, LL doesn't support collission effects with Flexis. They can't 'collide' with the avatar body (Like fabric in the high rev versions of Poser can), or with anything else. All flexis are phantom, and the flexed shape that you see is stricly a client-side effect.

This is how it works the last time I tested it (a long time ago)
Flexis start off phantom like. If you turn phantom on they become non phantom and you can collide with them. However their collision box is their original non flexi position. |
