The quick question is when you go to buy $L does Second life charge your US $ balance on your account first or your bank card first if you have one on file?

I'm pretty sure it uses whatever US$ you have in your account first. You might have to make an additional transaction to get more after that from your credit card.

If you have a US$ balance in your account that is always used first, for anything.
Know what is really bad for buying Lindens? It being three days to payday and no money in the bank!!!!

It doesn't make sense in my mind to have money on your account if you just want to pay with your card..maybe thats just me...

I might be wrong, but I thought you had to put it into your account first. I don't think it will treat it as a single transaction against your credit card, it may just redirect you to add to your balance first.

I don't think it will treat it as a single transaction against your credit card, it may just redirect you to add to your balance first. Market buy vs. limit buy... When you do a limit buy, where you specify what you want to pay and wait for someone to sell at that price, you have to put the money in your $US balance first (at least they made me do that the last few times I've done this). When you do a market buy, where you just buy at whatever is the current best price, I believe they will just automatically charge your card if you don't have the necessary balance.
