Avatar textures reload themselves every second

Hello, this is an issue that has been bugging me since I started playing Second life. I have used different computers since then, and the problem still persists. I keep praying that the next update will fix it but never any change. The textures on my avatar will constantly reload themselves, and being a clothing designer it is nearly impossible for me to take clear pictures or get a good look at how my textures look on the avatar. I have to constantly press the "rebake textures" button but this just makes them get blurry again even faster. Its like playing a game of trying to catch a clear screen shot before the texture goes blurry again. I usually only have about 1-3 secs to see my avatar clearly before it reloads. Then it takes about 30 seconds to fully reload again. And it will not be sharp like it should be unless I use the rebake texture button. The same applies for all other avatars, except I can't reload the textures on them so all other avatars are usually blurry.

Can someone help me? Thank you

How much video RAM does your video card have? The more the merrier. Make sure you have at least 128, and preferably 256, and make sure your video preferences are set to use it all. It's a whole different game with an adequate video card.

If you are doing photography, create a studio that is far from other structures and uses as few textures as possible.

All that said, I still find that clothing sometimes refreshes itself unnecessarily. This used to bug the hell out of me, but with a 256M video card it happens infrequently now.

I have a 256MB card and it happens all the time. Constantly in fact. I understand how the OP feels, because it gets infuriating after a very short time.

Strange. Mine will refresh occasionally, especially after changing outfits, but it stays constantly sharp and rezzed afterwards, even after TP'ing or even relogging.

Sounds like a caching issue and/or a preferences issue. I'm running with only 128MB video RAM. Possibly draw distance? I usually run at 96m.
