Is it just me or is there a SL problem with sandboxes that attracts nutters and griefers? I ask because yesterday needing to rezz some stuff, my friend and I picked a public site and popped over to a quiet corner. Within 10 minutes I was hassled by a 'policemen' that my penis and hud was spamming the chat, people were squabbling all around us with AR's threatened, people were admitting to be underage, we were trampled by horses, had houses dropped on us, run over by cars and ravaged by fire and then finally for no reason whatsoever we were both orbitted. Neither of us had spoken to anyone else (we were in private IM)..oh for a nice safe quiet rezz site..*sighes

Try some of the public sandboxes owned by some of the more well-known RL organisations. Like IBM for instance. Even the most idiotic idiot thinks carefully before playing up in these kinds of sandboxes.

The NCI ones are pretty good as well, given that they are almost always attended by helpy people round the clock with power to dissuade intolerant behaviour.

thanks guys - last thing - these orbiters...there was no notification, so is it possible to tell who the culprit ever is with these devices when you get booted?
Someone mentioned a while back about bees/wasps being used as a kind of security device, any idea where I can get one for my skybox?

For the first question: In your viewer, Help \ Bumps, Pushes and Hits can help with that. For the second question, just go shopping and research/buy one that works as you require. Just make sure that you get one that only works over your land. Some of the cheap and/or freebie ones hammer away at people not over your land. Something that you can be reported for.

psyke home security orb. doesn't do "cool stuff' like wasps or bees, but it stays away from pouncing on people who are not on your land, works on group land, can be administrated easily & by other people as well (when you allow those others to do so).
