Problems TP'ing In & Out of House

I live in the Desolation sim & I can barely teleport in & out of my house. It usually takes me from 5-30 tries to get in or out of there. :( My Master & friends can get in & out the first time with no problem. I have no problems when teleporting to & from other places - just to & from my house. I've tried clearing my cache & that didn't improve things at all. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be & why it affects only me & not others going to my house?

How many HUDs and other attachments do you have? Try removing the nonessential stuff and TP again. Also, try flying to a neighboring sim and then TPing, or try a different "connection" to get to first and TP from there.

Just some ideas.... I'm not sure if they're all proven to work.

The only HUD I have on is the one for my collar. And yes I do go to a neighboring sim or another connection point & try to get in & out from there. Sometimes I just have to fly in from the neighboring sim. And I'm the only one that has this problem. I don't seem to wear any more things than other people do & they have no problems.

What actually happens when it "fails"? Does it just pause for too long, and then leave you where you were? Is there an error message?

Usually if the issue ONLY affects you, and only affects what happens in one sim, there's one of two things to be done.

The most likely is that something on your avatar cached content had gotten glitched. While "clearing cache *should* work by itself, there are some times where it is necessary to actually uninstall and reinstall SL completely. In addition to the cache files there are other files that SL keeps on a per-avatar basis, and one of those might have been damaged.

The other possibility is that the sim itself may have a "ghost image" of you stuck in it's own cache and support files. Or a partial record of your presence, left over from a sim crash or your client crashing while in that sim. In these cases, a sim restart will often fix the problem.

TY Ceera. :) When it fails I don't get an error message. It tries for a long time & then I just get a teleport failed message (can't remember the exact wording). I'll try reinstalling SL & see if that fixes the problem before asking them to restart the sim.
