It was a Linden gift around the time they were trying to hammer the servers (2005?) with as many people as they could get to log on. It wasn't easy to catch but I finally caught mine in order to jump on it for a ride! Not sure where it was taking me but it looked like maybe the moon LOL. Here are some other neato things about it...
-They change moods if they interact with other Benshees or when you click on them. -There are 3 moods: normal, mad (hyper), and sad (slow). -You can set the colors to a light or dark theme. The colors are unique to you as they are based upon your avatar's key. -If you leave your Benshee alone and it cannot find you, it will delete itself.   _____________________

Sometimes my alts gather with me and we play with our Benshees, but infrequently.

Marianne- Its time for a new gift from Linden Lab I think! A lot of people have joined since then.
Osprey- Great Idea! I'd like to see how they react to each other. I think I'll have a benshee party tonight lol! _____________________

I remember that.. never tried to "ride" my Benshee though.
Wasn't the login goal something like 7500 avatars online at once... and we didn't reach the goal? Maybe it was 9000 and we only hit 7500? |

Oh yeah, catching it to ride is tough but worth it. Of course slow mode is easiest for that. Its a crack up!

It was 5k and we didn't make it. By a lot. /me waves at DoteDote SL seemed big, though. _____________________
