Would be better with more memory. Only 2 GB - Vista will use a lot of that on its own.

I think that's 2x gigabit NICs.. Seems to have 8GB of memory..

For US$1500, it's probably a good deal. That's quite the spankin' machine. Something 1/2 that powerful would run SL like a dream, though.

i couldn't find anything on cooling in there ..did anyone see what type of cooling it is using?

EDIT:Almost forgot..yes get a Mac after you pic up your computer never before hand.. ;)

It's fine if you're not going the "build-your-own" route.

Just get the 8GB RAM.

Or- get a Mac like Alvaro says. All you gotta do is cough up more $$ for a desktop system, or go with iMac where you have severely limited upgrade abilities.

But you can be satisfied knowing your computer looks exactly like everyone else's. Its good to be a follower.

Does the Mac OS support SLI or Crossfire video?

No iMac is going to come close to what that PC can do running SL. With SLI 9800GT cards in it, I think it's probably going to outrun any Mac Pro you can buy, too.
