I will try to make this understandable! My avatar has strange textures on the hands and the legs. White with writing all over the hands..and the same except with my sweater texture over top of the white w/writing on the legs.
I have tried everything that I know of to get rid of this....
Cleared group cache
Rebaked
logged off
tp'd somewhere different
tried changing clothes/skins
even uninstalled/reinstalled second life
Uninstalled/reinstalled graphics drivers
updated drivers
its STILL THERE aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
I'm going nuts.
Would any of you know what I might do that I haven't done? I would so very much appreciate the help!

Did you delete the SL Application Data folder when you uninstalled? It has to be done manually.

Well, if you're on XP, it's C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\SecondLife
Application Data is normally a hidden folder, so you may need to show those before you can find it. Oh, and sometimes I have to delete the contents of some of the folders inside the SecondLife folder before I can delete the whole thing.
If you're using a different operating system, just run a Search on it.

Thanks so much, Ann, for your help (and very detailed instructions ..hehe) I'm not an advanced pc user! No, Rhaorth, I didn't really look at what the writing said - I've been having these weird textures on my avatar for quite awhile, only I've been able to rebake & they would go away. However, you have suggested something I haven't tried  Thank you both! |
