Hi all, I know there are mainlands and Estate lands, but how do you purchase a full brand new Estate SIM directly from Linden?

Isn't that only for Mainland sales? Is there another form or page for Estates?

well if you look at the map its islands you see not mainland, so yeah this is were you buy islands. I guess your next question is "ok so what do I do next?" and yes I'd like to know too!

Ahhh! ok just click on FAQ's and you get stuff like:

"How do I use it?

Simply click where you want to buy or reserve a region on the map. If the space is available, click Add to cart.

Once you've picked all your spaces and go to checkout, you'll be brought to a screen where you can choose either to reserve or purchase the spaces you've picked.

If you choose to reserve the spaces, then an auction will start with you as the high bidder on the spaces you've picked. Otherwise, if you choose to purchase the spaces, you will simply be billed, and the island will come online usually within 7-14 business days"

so yeah!

Ah okay, thanks for your prompt reply on this...both of you! I noticed that the auctions go overboard, alot more than what they cost from Linden.......strange.

hmmm we're on the same wavelength, i was just about to use this thread to ask…

Why the hell would someone bid $3,791.00 for 'Fyrebird (128.128) Mature 65536m' when they can buy an island for just $1650.00 direct?

Mainland can be divided and resold, whereas Estate can but there is only 1 ultimate owner. Also Estates are 295usd vs Mainland 195usd.

Ok fine, still think its a bit dumb, but I'm sure it must make sense financially down the line.

Next question, all those yellow squares are reserved, do all those yellow squares end up as bought island SIMs, I doubt it! so why are they reserved, you either want land or not, is there something I'm missing here?
