OK .So I splash out on one of my female alts because she looked too noobish ,After reading some comments here.
No problem she had a whale of a time and picked up some bargains ,I even got change.She gets dressed and the stuff looks good .( How on earth do you girls fit those bloody flexi skirts I gave up and left it as it was).
So I log on to check her out and she is topless!.I cleared caches.I use snowglobe and Release Candidate veiwers and she still is topless.Brazen hussey,Even though she has nice boobs I think she should cover herself .My wife keeps looking at the screen and I keep telling her it's a glitch but I don't think she believes me.
What should I do?

Drag your wife into Second Life to show her that yes, it IS a glitch.
Or.. try changing out the top for another, then putting on another top, enter edit appearance to see if that forces it to rez.

Are you using the latest Emerald viewer by any chance?
If so, click Emerald / Options/ Rendering and uncheck the "Read my mind" option.
By default it is off, but apparently it gets turned on randomly due to some sort of glitch - or possible some keyboard combination.
It's a very useful feature in most circumstances, but can produce unexpected results.
ETA:
I should add that the Emerald implementation is not a new creation. It is a legacy setting from way back in the standard viewer. That would account for you seeing the effect in other viewers. Once set, the only way to unset it is to edit the XML file or use the Emerald menu.

What should I do? A serious answer. Observe women's breasts in real first. Then go to appearance and shape yours. We really have weight that we carry. Most breasts in sl defy all gravity and lack that shape we have. Smaller is better. Men really dont need to nestle their head between two steel tanks.

It might just be related to that specific top, a data corruption of some sort. Blot, you said you tried different viewers, but you didn't say anything about different tops. Try a different one or try a different clothing layer and see what happens. Oh, and btw, pics or it didn't happen!

How does that help my breasts get a little lift? . . off the thread slightly I know . . but . . . . . since downloading the latest Version of Emerald I seem to have lost that bounce effect . . If I re set the sliders slightly and "Apply" I get my bounce back . . but loose it again if I TP even a short distance within a sim . . . . and then have to re set the sliders and Apply to get it back again . . . . I uninstalled the earier viewer btw . Serious suggestions anyone ? |
