It's a glitch in the Matrix, Pep. That's the explanation for any deja vu.

Okay, do you really wanna spend all that money on a wedding when he will prolly leave you after a month anyway? Men are beasts. Look at Pep. Spend money on some land for yourself or invest in a business.

Just as in RL, wedding prices vary about how much or what you want included. Your best bet is to ask around your circle of friends. Or just open Search > All > start typing in keywords.
You should be able to find a location, features that will fit your budget. It just will take some investigation.

Here's the short answer: let HIM pay.
But seriously (although I was being serious):
Other than some in the forums who 'do weddings' (perform/package, I meant) most of us won't know current prices, and even if we did it would not be inclusive. And as often seems to happen with the OP, not enough information is given. We have no idea what size or type of wedding you have in mind. (I remember at the Paris New York sim, you can get wed for $10 lindens.)

Search for 'weddings' and 'wedding planner'. Once you've found a few, send them a notecard explaining the kind of thing *you* would like and ask them to send you a quote. There was at least one wedding planner posting in the thread you were linked to earlier; did you contact that person?
As far as I know, there is no 'one size fits all' wedding price package in SL; everyone is different. Some want the full works: big white dress, release of particle doves, romantic dancing afterwards. Some like the informality of a barefoot beach wedding and just hire someone to officiate. Others do it entirely themselves, renting land (or using their own land), building the location and exchanging their vows in front of a few friends. The cost, therefore, will vary wildly, according to what they do.
Just as you can elope to Gretna Green, choose to wed in a registry office, or opt for the full meringue dress and morning suit formal church wedding in real life, so in Second Life: a) it's up to YOU what you want, and b) the cost of the wedding will be decided by that.

Like everything else, you can pay as much or as little as you want.
You could find a chapel, ask a friend to perform the ceremony, make your own invitations, and invite everyone back to your house for drinks afterwards. You will have made your commitment in front of witnesses. You will be as married as it is possible to be in SL. Total cost: ZERO.
or...
Find an organisation that organises big elaborate weddings, complete with a proffessional officiator, photographer, dozens of poses, wedding cake, coach and horses, everything you could possibly want. Total cost; tens of thousands.
Your choice

From: SeXXXy Bliss What are the prices of weddings in SL now a days and what do they include? from what i remember when we researched the cost of a wedding, by the wedding locations, it was somewhere between 2500 to 15000 linden dollars (depending on the luxury wanted.) but that was over two years ago, prices might have raised or dropped, i don't have current pricing info. We chose to build our own wedding stage, on our own land. (fun to build/decorate, and it was something we could keep in our inventories for memory sakes., and way cheaper) From: Jig Chippewa Okay, do you really wanna spend all that money on a wedding when he will prolly leave you after a month anyway? Men are beasts. Look at Pep. Spend money on some land for yourself or invest in a business. excuse me?!? NOT all men are beasts.. most men are NOT beasts in terms of (ab)using the female, in terms of relationships. I guess you've met the wrong men, and feeling bitter about it. In general, don't go into marriage, if you are just dating for a short time, get to know eachother very well, on long term. Then, you will discover eachothers true nature and feelings, principles. If that works out well, go ahead an marry, if you both want to. note: if it's a roleplay kind of gesture (wedding), some SL residents do (men, AND women). Then don't expect to much from it. See it as a night out, thing. I know of a friend who married in SL, and she DUMPED him, because she was lying about her real intentions, and just wanted to experience a wedding in SL, had no real feelings for him at all. He didn't know, so he was totally baffled by the outcome. So some women can also be beasts, not only some men can. You're statement is false, cos: It's equal for that matter. Bit all in all, it's the minority of residents who do foul play. I'm married to my SL partner (2+ years ago), and after a little while, we also became RL partners (through dating in RL etc etc). A few weeks ago, we've engaged in RL, so, no, love can be true, even when it started on SL. (there is a real human being behind each av, with human feelings) The SL wedding should be a sort of statement in Love towards eachother in the world where you two met (SL) as real humans. Just like Engagement in RL is a statement of true love and future whishes/visions/will, towards eachother for the real world. so stop saying rude global generical statements towards genders

From: SeXXXy Bliss ...start a wedding business! Well, you fooled the lot of us. I guess you have do do your own research, by asking existing organisations what the offer, and what they charge.

How to make money in SL 1. set up a wedding organiser business 2. create numerous female alts who persuade males to pay for weddings in advance 3. send messages to males saying "I can't go through with it; my rl husband found out". 4. profit Pep (amoral or immoral, but not illegal. )
