I'm not sure, I don't know if Tyche Shepherd has this info with her land surverys, I can't recall seeing it but Jack hinted at a recent office hour that the class system may be ended at some point.

Well I asked Jack if that meant they'd be upgraded like mainland sims were, there was no additional cost for people there and he said that was the general idea.

So what is the diff between class 4 or 5? Which is better?
Most who mention them seem to assume others know what they are, when in conversation in SL. So thanks for any help.

I don't survey that unfortunately - but I do have a record of there originally being 2600 grandfathered regions - though I understand a few may have been class 5 already . so as to how many still exist it's hard to say but there are no more than 2600 of them . As a guide my latest Main Grid survey from an hour ago makes it 22100 Private Estates (of all types) and a further 5423 Linden owned (predominantly Mainland). |

According to my box there are exactly 2133 Class 4 sims still on the grid at this time, anything above the 2133 number is class 5.
