From what I see it has some power to it. But useless for SL as far as using the touchscreen?

Anybody knowledgeable on these matters?

I'd like to know about this myself...the HP touchscreen is tres cool.

I'd worry about that 9300 graphics card...a 9700 or 9800 would be much better.

My husband has the new touchscreen (cause his computer burst into flame a few weeks ago, literally!), i've used it a couple times for SL. It runs beautifully, but i haven't found any use for the actual touch screen yet. He got the bigger screen of the two though, so my avatar is almost life size! LOL That's why i always sneak on his computer to go on SL when he's not home. :D

I can play with the touch functions later to see if they are of any use in SL...so far the only use for me is annoying my husband when he plays WoW. It's really fun to walk by..flick the screen and totally mess up his camera view, lmao.

That would be cool. I am really curious about this.

Thanks.

I'm mildly curious about touch functionality for SL, myself. I could envision it being either really interesting, or totally useless, with probably not much in between.

But I'd be really surprised if the specific machine cited in the OP could handle SL very well in the first place, touch or no touch. First, the GeForce 9300 is extremely low end. Draw distance would probably need to be kept very low, and many graphics features would likely need to be disabled, to get a usable frame rate. Second, 667 MHz RAM is quite slow. For good performance, you really want 800 MHz RAM at a minimum, preferably 1066 MHz or higher.
