roughly how long does land remain after a person sops paying whats the window here how many days late can you be before they sieze it? and then it says own by gov linden?

and going farther if they have not sold it and you catch up your arears can you get it back?

contact support and ask them, they might be able to give you an answer

Yes support is your first stop they will advise you and possibly extend you a little slack if you need time to pay (then again they might not).

I recently changed my method of monthly payment to LL from Amex to Visa Debit Card (ie my Bank), bad move as my bank witheld payment pending a phone call to ask the question "Linden Labs..eh..haven't heard of them before..eh..do you want us to pay that one..?"

In the mean time LL's monthly payment got bounced and they sent me a standard (I'm guessing) notice. You will have seven days to pay where you're access to SL is unaffected, after that you will have 30 days where you will be suspended and you can't access SL. I guess after that you're history. They do say contact support as soon as possible. This is of course a payment for membership and not land, but I suspect late land fees will generate a similar response. It was a very nice Email though..it started "Don't worry..."

Contact support it's the best move.

I assume certain Governor Linden lands are roads some may go for auction though.

hen I had issue a bit back when they were changing their billing they wrote back
weeks later saying situation was resolved, by then I had figured out how to do something
else to make the payment thing work with prepaying but prior to that paying monthly
the system couldn't manage.
I am bit worried what going happen in the new year when I got to change my bank card
information.

Usually the roads cover certain strip of land through out the entire sim
but if its like lot in middle of sim if you contact the Lindens sometimes
they put it up for auction and their is chance you could win it but
be extremely careful with auctions because their are residents who
show up and out bid you and you may end up if you really want
the land either having to pay over 65000L$ for 1024m lot that isn't
that special or worth it or losing a lot due to not watching it
in the last few moments of auctions.
Auctions can be bit cut throat and sometimes over priced.
If you do bid wait till the last few moments of auction and don't pay
what you can't afford to lose and have the money already in your
credits prepaid.
Also if you turn the landowner option on in the tabs if the land is purple
it means it's on the auction block.
