So there I am yesterday at Abraminations - buying their Male #5 AO (which is an awesome product by the way) and the Lag Monster and his evil side kick Particle Loss Boy swept in and had their fun. Long story made short is that I now have three copies of that AO in my inventory, and was charged for all of them. At $L 900 a pop...that hurt. Any suggestions on what I could do to recoup those losses? Any help is appreciated!

Contact the store owner. They can check the transaction history to verify that you bought three of them. If they're no-transfer then they should be willing to refund you for the two you bought by accident.

if its not transferable and all the same product, explain that to the seller. If they won't provide a refund, perhaps they would allow you to choose two other of their fine products to compensate for the lag mishap.

I had this with textures, I had to eat my loss, I tried contacting the seller but they never replied. I know for a fact I did only click once but SL froze on me and went all freaky I think what I was led to understand by others is that the seller is under no obligation to pay you for your loss, but a lot of sellers will see what happened by looking at their transaction history if you bring it to their attention and may kindly refund you... Though they are not under obligation to.

Keeran Blackadder I'd suggest contacting Abramelin via the website. Tell them the situation and what happened.

Once I bought several copies of a copyable item (I was new) and the seller IMed me, told me what I'd done, and refunded the money for the multiple copies. Another noticed that an item I'd purchased had the wrong (too high) price on it, and refunded me the excess. Needless to say, both have made a fan for life

unfortunately he loves no copy animations, so you would be able to sell two of them back to him.

Definitely contact the owner, abramelin wolfe(sp). I have had a problem in the past, SL fault, and she took care of it no questions asked. Best customer service from an SL store I have ever received hands down.

I've just emailed his website, and am looking forward to any help he may have. I need to make sure that there is NO question about Mr. Abramination's wares...they are top notch and I will continue to buy from his establishment. Should there be no way to recover the $L I spent, I'll check it off as a lesson learned, but will continue to praise his products and his name. Honestly, he's given more personality to my Avatar than I had thought possible, and his work should be commended. Thanks for all the advice!

I know that when I notice someone has purchased two identical texture bundles from me, back to back, I will make a point of contacting them and asking if it was a mistake. I usually get amazed responses, and even more so when I offer a full refund on the duplicate purchase.
And mind you, when I do that, I take a 50% loss, as the initial sale already got split 50/50 with the store owner where I sell my textures. But I'd rather have happy customers who come back again and again for my new work.

Update:
Abranimations, under no obligation what so ever, contacted me and was kind enough to reimburse me for the extra AO's I had purchased. This, beyond doubt, is what customer service is all about. They have a life-long customer here, and I strongly encourage others to shop with Abranimations when you are in the market for animations. I am pleased that they went out of their way to help me out, and am still loving the products I've purchased from them.
