Ownership of My Object Changed to Someone Else

I have an item for sale at my store that I created. Today the ownership changed to someone else though I'm still listed as the creator. I've been selling copies of the item but can't anymore because of the mystery ownership change. My property is set no rez, and the item which has another avatar's name now is not returning to the owner, and I can't delete it. The item was originally set copy/modify/no transfer.

Anyone know how something that I made and I own can change ownership but still stay on no build land? I guess what I'm worried about is someone may have stolen my stuff and will end up selling it without my permission.

My first thought was that you may have set it to sell the original and someone bought it but didn't realise they had to take it as well. But the rest of what you said doesn't fit that.

I'm baffled because it's just weird. It's even listed as belonging to someone other than owner on my land window objects tab.

When you set it for sale you have the option for the person to buy a copy, the original or the contents. If it was set for original then this would give the situation you describe.. and the person who bought it may not realise either so assumed it was in their inventory.

You're right. I checked inworld and did see that it was set to "original". I also looked through my transaction history and found it was bought a month ago. The first time I checked my transactions, I only checked for the last week. Up too late again.

That was my first thought, so why aren't you able to return it to the person?
