Hi,
Got a newbie-ish question. When I go dancing, sometimes I get invited to dance by someone with a Huddles or some other dance chim. Usually I can stop dancing by typing /99stop or /1stop or (whatever the chim says) or by clicking on the dance chim.
Sometimes, though, I'm totally stuck. With one particular chim, even relogging doesn't stop it. I will even do Stop All Animations and use those stop things. Answers, please ? Thanks for your time.
Steve

I can relate. There is one particular dance ball I know that I refuse to use anymore unless I'm sure I'll be logging off right after. It doesn't respond to anything I do. (/99stop, Stop Animation Rose/Stand, Stop All Anims, retouching the ball)
Logging off has been the only way for me at times. At least I can see myself dancing, in the past, I've had to depend on the kindness of strangers while I shop...

From: Steve Mahfouz With one particular chim, even relogging doesn't stop it. That's another problem with the way permissions currently work . Once you grant a script animate permissions it has them forever until it gets reset, chooses to relinquish them (in response to a /1 or /99stop for instance) or tries to get permission for someone else, there's nothing you can really do to make it stop animating you. Logging off (and logging back on to the same spot) or "Stop all anims" only works until the chim/ball picks its next dance. The only way to avoid being animated again (besides asking the owner to reset the chim, or detach it, or take your name off it manually) is to tp to another sim and then use "Stop all anims" or relogging. As soon as you go back to that same sim you run the risk of being animated again though until it's fixed, or someone else takes your spot (one script can only hold permissions for one avie) in which case they'll suffer the same problem you had. (It's also used as a way to grief since explicitly giving permission to let someone hug you, or implicitly by sitting on a pose ball means they could animate you as long as they're near you indefinitely)

It's a way-old script but might still help: /15/c0/14699/1.htmlI've never really had this problem so I can't say for sure if it'll work. --Hugsy
