OK, I've got my music (all 21 albums) uploaded onto SL Evolution, boxed, prepped and loaded into a vendor. All I need now is somewhere to set it up. Rather than just renting random spaces in malls, I thought it might make better sense to plonk it down in some music stores in SL. Then I realised I didn't know of any and using search didn't turn up any useful results.
So................ here I am. Anyone know of any good music stores in SL that don't charge and arm and a leg for vendor space?

From: Carbon Philter I have to ask - is it legit with copyright issues and broadcasting/selling music in SL? Yes, it's all my own work. If you doubt my word I'll meet you at the Musicians' Union office at 33 Palfrey Place, London, SW8 1PE. Indoors... not on the doorstep. That's my local union branch. Be sure to bring your lawyer and case notes. I really do get tired of people shooting from the lip with their empty insinuations. You want to make some sort of claim about me? Be prepared to back it up or else STFU and learn some good manners.

Whooo - touchy! All your own work - bully for you. I simply asked a question relevant to the distribution of music in SL. Where's the insinuation and what's to get tired about? Other people questioning it? I haven't seen anything else in the forum about it. What am I claiming? I would suggest that the nature of your response suggests you're the one needs to consider learning some manners. Good luck with your charm offensive on the purchasing public. I for one will give your music (all 21 albums) a miss.

From: Leyah Renegade So what's SL Evolution? A music distribution service in SL. You buy the toolkit, upload your music, package it into 'CD's', sell them and people get to listen to your work and download it to their computer. Fairly straightforward system.

Alazarin, You can drop a vendor in my small shop its already listed/classified as Independent CDs/mp3s, although I just have some single prim CD click out to the web site. Been trying to set it up better just never seem to find the time. there are some other vendors and stuff for sale, but well its another place .. not much traffic but Free I'm me in world and I'll get you a LM to the store and you can take a look. There is a big 2 sore one as well, but I think he sets it up so he makes money not the artist.. still can't figure that one out. and its his listening/purchase vendors.

The stream listed on one of your web sites, http://88.80.221.122:8590 is down. I just tried to set my parcel's music url to it and discoved it's not working. You can put a vendor on my plot if you want. It's just a mostly unused 512 plot. Perhaps you would like to put something more than a vendor there.

Yes, I've already talked to Bones and he won't let me set my vendor up on Trax as I use the SL Evolution system. He requires all artists and acts to buy into his system at 10k L$ + 800L$ stall rental per month in order to sell their work in his store. I've already spent 6.5k L$ on the SL Evolution system *and* uploaded 21 albums' worth of my material onto their server. Yes, I really do have more. I have no desire to repeat the process yet again. Furthermore I've already designed and built my own vendor.

Thanks for the heads-up about my stream. For some reason my encoder dropped the connection with the server. I've restarted it. And, yes, I'd be very interested in setting up a vendor and display on your site if you can spare the prims.

From: Carbon Philter Whooo - touchy! Carbon, the insinuation was implicit in your question no matter how coyly phrased. I called you on it.

I put a straightforward question on a fairly sensitive legalistic subject which concerns me with the extent of piracy these days in both RL and SL to an av I don't know from a hole in the ground, and frankly, given the tenor of the response, don't really want to. Bored now.

From: Carbon Philter ... I put a straightforward question on a fairly sensitive legalistic subject... I'm the real deal. Do your homework before posing 'legalistic' questions.
