i started by account a few weeks ago, i tried to buy lindens on the website but it wont let me, anyone know why?

How much did you try to buy? You're limited to 10USD worth on your first purchase.

Edit: The limits are based on your first transaction with LL - membership, tier, L$ purchase - NOT on the age of your account. You could be 2 years old and you'd still start at $10 with the initial purchase.

Also, day 0 is the first day you make a purchase, so it takes 48 hours before you jump to the next level. The limits shown are totals for the month, not daily amounts, so if you spend $4 on day 0, you only have $6 left for day 1. If you spend $10 on days 0 & 1, you have $90 TOTAL available for days 2-7; spend $100 by day 8, and you have $200 available until day 28.
