Background Picture and Links missing from SL Logon Screen |

When i go to log on i now only have a black screen (no picture) and the logon password bar ...none of the background picture and none of the SL links or announcements - any ideas how i can fix this??

Maybe try just waiting? If I recall correctly it's like a webpage now isn't it? Maybe it's just not loading fast enough o.o

This has happened to me several times. But I could still log on and then the next time or the time after that the picture was back so in my case I think it was, as Keira says, just something to do with the server that loads the picture being busy or temporarily down or something.
It is disconcerting when it happens but it would be great if this were the worst problem we ever had... _____________________

Yea, its not the worst for sure, but without the links also goes the warnings about what's happening if there are problems, don't buy clothes or linden and such ...

It generally indicates connection problems or server load issues on LL's end. I sometimes log into SL from work to deal with customer service issues, and the work connection is terrible. I routinely see a black login screen or, more freqently, just the default SL welcome screen graphic with no links.

Hmm well this is a new thing, and other machines here have no problem, just this big mac... only one machine is on network at a time, and the pc and older mac have no problem... this is powermac and used to load it, but now background is missing... hmm really weird..
