If you could design your own heaven what elements of sl would it contain, if any?

I would definately have lots of camp fires dotted around heaven with little pose balls that say 'Relax' above them. That is one of favourite things about SL that I would wish to have in the place where I was to spend eternity.

Down by the beach, sit on a log, relaaaaax.

In the countryside, lean against a tree, relaaaaax.

Outside a nice bar, sit on a blanket, relaaaaax.

But I dont know if I would have teleporting in my heaven. Sometimes I think the travel to a destination enhances the experience. Sort of builds the excitement in a way.

I would have clothes that cost a few pence too, and shopping bags that didnt need to be carried.

AND FREE BOOZE!!!

I would love all of my wondeful SL friends to join me. Not immediately of course because that would mean they'd all have to die as soon as I pop my clogs, but it would be nice to spend time with the people who have entertained and put up with me lol.

I would lose the whole fog thing which you get at a certain height - just anoying having to go so high to lose it. Lag would soooo have to go lol. Though it does make for some interesting conversations.

And omnipresent and omniscient resmod would be quite nice.

A Client menu so you don't have to render anything unless you really want to.

According to the Nuns in Grade School & High School, I'm not going to "heaven".

So I guess the current SL is as close as I'm getting!

That's been changed now. Hell is no longer a place of untold , eternal suffering. It's been replaced by Cleveland.

I don't believe in heaven or hell either.... at least not in a religous sense..

But if there would be such a place, it would be the place where I could meet all my beloved animals again.... the horses, the dogs, the cats and even the rabbits and guinea pigs that played an important place in my life..

I'd keep my biplane, my friends, a chunk of land to play with, the ability to fly and create, the ability to change my shape and skin on a whim, and I'd make it way, way bigger. The important thing is that I would keep the creativity of the residents. People are always doing such interesting things, I don't think I'd ever get bored. Maybe I'd keep it like SL where living people could log on when they wanted and talk to me. That way I wouldn't miss my friends and family so much.

I've been mulling it over in my mind for quite some time now.

Heaven, perhaps, would be what we make of it in many ways... just as would Hell be.

Regardless of destination - pearly gate, burning gate, nirvana, dust... if it were possible, the common element would have to do with loneliness, or lack thereof.

The more flip answer: if heaven were to be like SL in any way, gals in their 20's would spend quality time with old guys in Heaven... but I get the sense I'd get slapped for that answer so I Did Not Say It... grin



Finally, a question... Could Heaven contain all the animals you love, and fried chicken too?

Your Heaven, Your Imagination. I think heaven needs a healthy dose of debauchery.

An answer: Yes, unless the animals you love are chickens, in which case, you can't have your chicken and fry it too. I snuck my goldfish into a Popeye's once, but he got all dried up in my pocket and died. I guess in RL, you can't have the animals you love and fried chicken at the same time.

There is a movie that must be more than 30 years old called "Is There Sex After Death?" It features a Sex Institute supposedly housed in Grant's Tomb in New York City, and it does answer its title question: "There is nothing BUT sex after death." Works for me.

Seriously, for me it would definitely have to be a place where i can hang out with he sort of people that keep me entertained, intellectually challenged and emotionally involved. That is the part of SL that I enjoy the most. Add to that the diversity that SL provides as far as people, environment, and culture.. hmmm, yep I could do heaven.
