Making new alts after the limit

Abyone know whether you could delete one of your 5 alts (the limit) and then be allowed to create a new alt?

it's 5 accounts per email address, actually. If you create another email address, you can have another 5 alts.

What I'm trying to say is if I don't like the name of one of my 5 alts and delete it can I create another alt ok? Anyone done it?
I only have one legit email address.......................
So if I was to create them with an another email address and then change their email address in account details to my main email address could I have 6 alts?

There is no limit on number of accounts / alts. Period. That limit you are citing is dated information, and has been eliminated. The Lindens will only limit alt creation if you severely abuse alts for inappropriate purposes, and even then it is unlikely they can prevent a determined person from making more alts.
You need a valid e-mail address for each new account, is all.

You need a legit one for activating the account. I don't see the problem though since Hotmail, Google, Yahoo and countless others offer free email services. Try if they accept your "usual" addy again, if not, make a new one. Easy as pie.
