Is there any setting I can adjust so that I do not get disconnected after 30 minutes of inactivity?

On your ADVANCED menu, (ctrl+alt+D if you dont have that menu enabled) CHARACTER/CHARACTER TESTS and uncheck the selection "GO AWAY/AFK WHEN IDLE"
