Does LL have any type of grace period on land purchases ? As in do I have 7 days to decide this isnt what I want?

You can immediately sell the land, but given the market right now, you will probably lose at least a little bit on the deal.

You might as well hold on to it for the remainder of your billing cycle and take the time to decide if you like what you have, because you're going to pay the same amount of tier whether you hold it for one minute or two weeks.

That's certainly true. But if the OP really does want to sell it, it's best to put it up for sale at LEAST a week before the Tier Payment date. Unless it's an unusual situtation, the parcel probably wouldn't sell the same day it's put up for sale.
