I need a second life job. I have played for less than a week. I have some land too. But it seems I never have enough L$, And I hate the idea of being a dancer, escort, etc. So if anyone wants to hire/teach me second life it would be great!

IMHO it's only worth it if it's something you love to do. You won't know until you try, but you might find you have more fun by just buying some Lindens every now and then. They're cheap. Good luck!

One can also post at other SL related sites like SLexchance and SLuniverse, use a forum signature with a description of skills you have that might have relevance to work in SL and state that you are looking for work, fill in your about section in your profile in a similar manner, go on job hunting tours - drop in at the infohubs, work "I'm looking for work" into the conversation, move on to the next place.

Do a Google search for "second life" "looking for work", and one for "second life" and "help wanted" and such.

Make a sign that says "Will Work For Lindens" and carry it at appropriate places and times.

Drop by clubs and talk to the employees, see who the owner is, and send them a notecard offering your skills.

Attend classes to learn job skills at NCI and other learning places. Work the crowd - i.e., throw out "Hey, anyone know of anyone that has any jobs?" into the conversation.

Make a T-Shift that says Job Wanted. Wear it all the time.

Look for sites to post job wanted stuff at other than sluniverse and slexchange.

Use the inworld search system. Look for groups with jobs or employment in the name.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

in-world less than a week... might be difficult getting a good job. you havent had time to gain experience or find your talent yet. plus brand new avatars are often viewed with a bit of reserve.
i think you should perhaps undertake a few projects of your own to find what you are good at, what you enjoy, etc. right now you may think it is building/constriction related, but in a month you may come to realise you are both good at and enjoy more doing something else.

There was a great post somewhere in these forums about making money in SL, but I can't find it. I thought it was a sticky in Resident Answers, but evidently not.

The bottom line, though, is ** find something you enjoy! **

Most people can make more money in less time in RL than in SL. SL is a very low-wage place. There are plenty of ways to make $L, but if you don't enjoy it, you're wasting your time.
