Download previous version???

Ok, i installed the new viewer with windlight last night and find some of the new funcitons amazing. The sky, the water..etc.

However, after tweaking it last night for 2 hours I agree with this poster:

(But at this stage, everything is UNBEARABLY bright, and everything has this fringey, frizzled, tortured electrocuted edge to it. And the trees look funny.)

My hair has these awful edges to it, my avatars face is dark unless I turn into the sun and the beautiful skin I looked 2 weeks for now is pale and the shades just awful.

I need to reinstall the previous version I was running. I've looked everywhere for it. Does anyone know where I can find an older version?

The first look viewer shouldn't have replaced your old one. It certainly hasn't ever done that to me.

It doesn't replace.. and I'm thinking of tweaking my gamma and see what happens. It IS unbearably bright, but the drive home from dropping the kids off at schools reminded me that RL is unbearably bright. *sigh*

Ironically, I always found SL to be unbearably dark until I tried the Windlight version. Now I can see! Though the avatars now look cartoony.

It is the difference between something seen in Shrek or the Simpsons.

As always, once again they've brought out something new that isn't either ready or it's already broken to begin it. This is the exact reason I don't download anything new unless it's a must you do or you can't enter sl.

But then again I believe I read where this new content isn't complete yet. But if it isn't then why bring it out now?

Why not repair all the things that are going wrong now instead of adding new content? It just doesn't make any sense. Is the thought of telling everyone there's something new more important then repairing all the frustrating things going on now that require immediate attention by the tech team?

You can adjust brightness in Preferences. I think I have my gamma at 0.95.

First Look is not a completed release, this is our chance to provide some *constructive* feedback to LL.

And you actually believe they will listen to the feedback sl residents provide?

Like back when they opened a blog for feedback on the voice system they had just put out. A large portion of people complained about the design of the chat box about how large and ordinary it was. How it covered a good portion of the screen and a few other things. People here gave many good ideas on that issue. They never acknowledged any feedback, much less do anything about it.

Why should it be any different now?

Not just the voice system but its been the same on just about everything else they ask feedback on.

I have been curious about the new update I haven't installed it.
I was bit concerned that the new graphics feature may not get along with my computer.
Is anyone using the new update that has 2 or 3 year older Pentinum 4 with 2533mhz, 768 ram and nvidea 6300 series video card and slower then usual cable service?
