is using the debug options to uncheck my character to Go away/AFK legal or can it possibly lead to banning?

It is in there, so how can they ban you for using an option they put in there to be used by everyone?

Aside from that, no, it is not against ToS. ;)

Just using that option is not against the ToS. Maybe what you do while it is on can cause you problems... but the option by itself is not a problem at all.

In fact it is better than using one of the anti-idle orbs available in world, as it does not use a script that has to run on the sim.

You have to wear a pancake on your head while you camp to make it legal.

Then post pics here.

*blinks* Umm.. no...

You can't be banned for using what they encourage us to use, which is pretty much anything in the debug menu. Now, don't go to the tab labeled "Server" and click on "Request admin status" :p

you can use anything in the client menu, debug included.
i suspect the reason all that is hidden is to keep it out of the sight of less technically inclined avs who might require hand-holding from support.

I can relate to that.

When I was new, maybe after a few weeks in world, I suddenly noticed some weird red, blue, and yellow floating things emanating from objects and avatars ALL THE TIME! Everywhere I went, these annoying emanations would float upward from many things, sometimes thick enough to obscure my view.

I restarted my computer, I downloaded new GC drivers ... nothing worked. Sad to say, I left a call for help on this forum, but no answers. Finally, I put in a call for help from LL. And I'm sorry to report that they couldn't help me either.

The point of this long and sorry tale is that it turned out that I had unwittingly activated the 'Show updates' function in the Client menu (shift-ctrl-alt-U). As soon as I hit that key combination again - problem solved!

Not having access to the Debug menu negates LL 'hiding' the features such as FlyCam etc... I would have though FlyCam would be under Tools.. but I'm only a beta tester for them....
