Watermelon, in my experience, has some undesirable side effects, and no immediately apparent benefit apart from tasting good.
Watermelon serving suggestion: Get a barrel, an old wooden whisky barrel, for example, preferably but not necessarily one that was assembled by someone you know, fill it with watermelons and ice, play outside for several hours in hot summer weather, then eat watermelon. _____________________

Sorry to hear about the side effects - but thanks for painting a perfect memory picture of summers long gone - It's been a pretty wretched summer here in the UK - the initial promise of a heatwave quickly turned into floods - not exactly a record but can't have been far off. _____________________
