Without warning, i just had a whole lot of stuff returned to me that was on someone elses land. And the items are now coalesced objects sitting in my lost and found folder.
Now i know that these boxes should contain about 150000l$ woth of stuff, well thats what its worth to me anyway. And i also believe these items amount to approx 1200prims. And i know from experience that its not easy to retrieve the items from this state so im asking if anyone can help i would be very thankfull. I just really hope it is possible to get my items back from here.
I dont really know what the best thing to do so i have currently done absolutely nothing, as i have lost coalesced objects in the past when i tried to rez the boxes on my own land, i was unaware at the time that non copy items could bounce away into space, well i now know how to lose stuff so if poss i would love some help so that dont happen again.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU1pmB_uwKMcould be very helpful so you won't lose anything upon rez. I'd suggest a large, long auto-return sandbox, and rezzing it at some altitude above ground level.

Rez in Build mode. If things were spread out (they will be rezzed in the same relative positions) rez them in the middle of a sandbox so nothing is lost by being out of the buildable area.

Everything you had there is one, multiple object object in your lost and found folder. The naming convention makes the name of the 'coalesced' object whatever the sim decided to return last when the objects were returned. Rez the 'coalesced' object in a large, safe area, and take each item back into your inventory.

I would go to one of the public sandbox sims at a quiet time (early morning SLT), put a sky platform at (128, 128, 3000) and, standing there, rez the object. Then it's easy to collect everything in sight.
Good luck!

If you need a place to rez it, let me know and I'll arrange it for you.

From: Phil Deakins If you need a place to rez it, let me know and I'll arrange it for you. Thanks for that, i have added u so soon as i see you online we can sort it. Sorry but just curious, is there still a chance of losing anything? And why do i have 9 items that were returned and 6 of them broken boxes, and it seems like there is 2 of everything with the exception of 1 item. Is like everything is repeated? why is that? What item do i try and rez first? I just know something will go wrong, this happened before.

your two biggest risks are: a) attempting to rez somewhere that doesnt have enough prims available b) rezzing someplace that will attempt to rez part of the coalesced set 'out of bounds'
make sure there are plenty of prims available and you are in a central location on the sim and you should be fine
'broken boxes' are coalesced items; multiple objects picked up as if one item.
