Hi everyone
Not been on for a while but thanks for all your advice a few weeks back when I was about to rent an apartment. I'm now renting a house where I provide my own furniture. As still finding my feet on SL can someone tell me how I rotate furniture please? at the moment they are all looking rather odd!
Many thanks
Caitlin

Hi Caitlin!

Right click on the furniture (e.g. a couch) and choose "edit" from the pie menu. You should see an Edit Window pop up. At the top of the Edit Window, you'll see several "radio" buttons... click on "Rotate." This will show you a 3-dimensional sphere with 3 major directions in the form of colored circles: X, Y, Z. X is red, Y is green, Z is blue. Try left-clicking on one of the directions and dragging it with your mouse to see the effect. You should be able to rotate your furniture easily like this.

Likewise, to move the furniture around the house, click the "Position" radio button in the Edit Window. Rather than the circular Rotate X Y and Z axes, you'll see straight arrow axes. Same thing applies here: click on one of the directions and move the couch back and forth along an axis.

You'll probably have to use a combination of Rotate and Position to get your stuff exactly where you want it.

Welcome to SL!
