nearly 3 years ago, I met this dashing Avatar in a Gorean sim called Tetrapoli. He roleplayed as one of the Administrators of the city, and I roleplayed as a kajira (Gorean slave). We never drempt that nearly 3 years later we would still know each other or even more than that embark on what we will be sharing today. In SL, we have owned businesses, Gorean cities, we have been neko with very large families on our non gorean alts. We met in person 3 different times and spent months and months together over the last 3 years. We spoke to each other by skype, SL, and spent time in world doing everything under the sun, on a daily basis, to pass the time while apart from each other. We have been married in SL 5 times, either on our oldest avatars or on our alts, each time the ceremony getting grander, and more emotional. This past year Korky and I didn't see each other for a year. Finally he made a visit again this past two months. And today I find myself preparing for a wedding. At 5PM SLT we will be married in real life!!!! Neither of us ever dreaming that this would happen when we joined SL more than 3 years ago.

So, when your interacting with others in SL....treat each person with kindess, you just never know what can come out of your interactions with others, or whose path you may cross. I know for certain I would never have met my guy if it wasn't for SL, I have never been to Scotland and he had never been to the USA.

Here's one of the wedding videos from our alternate avies, which includes some real life pictures, and our voices. We intend to blend real life wedding photos and footage with this video later.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Congrats on your success, you and him both!

So maam, where will you 2 be living? I think going to Scotland sounds fun,
This is really great that things turned out so well for you.

We will be living here in the US. The economy is better for us here right now than Scotland.

I am not Gorean. I am human as you already knew. I have roleplayed in Gor (as all do) in the past. I also have been a dragon, a neko, a robot....perhaps you would like advice from them instead? :D

Congrats Avalon!! It is truly great to hear these kinds of stories. I wish you both well and have a long and happy life together. I should be following the same path myself. By the end of next month, I'll be married to my SL love in RL. Can't wait!! :)

Congrats! I married my internet sweetheart 10 years ago, when it was still a scandal. Doesnt make it as interesting a story now that more people are making it common lol. I wish you nothing but the best!! =)

Congratulations and best wishes for the two of you. You're fortunate to be able to choose where to live. As an American who don't have that right, and currently live in exile with my legally married husband (British), I know how difficult it can be having a loved one far away from you.
Cherish every moment and make it memorable. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!

Stories like this make me totally desperate for a wedding, even if it has to be in SL instead of RL ... or at least some lovin'!
