I have gone online and seen where classes are offered for this group but do not understand how you sign up for the classes.

Could someone please tell me how to do this?

Thank you

Just show up on time... There is no sign up or fee. (^_^)

Ah.... And if it's Landmarks and teleports that you're after... Use the "Events" search tab and the keyword NCI. Each event for the week will have the timeslot and LM in place there. (^_^)y

BTW Travis is The Shelter NCI is different.... do a search in world for NCI and go to any location... you can then join the NCI group and get inworld notices about classes, its also a help group that you can ask questions in and get help :)

1. Search for the avatar "Carl Metropolitan" inworld

2. I'm pretty sure he's got picks, info and things - just go to the NCI locations

3. At the locations there will be a class schedule full of times and places and courses

4. Show up as you like

Big NCI facilities are in regions Kuula and Nova Civis Caledon - just show up and look around, or simply ask somebody also!

Here's the schedule:

And here is the NCI website and blog:

I cannot say enough good things about NCI, really. I practically lived there for my first few months in Second Life. I learned to make clothing, build and started on scripting, all from classes I took there. It's a terrific spot for oldbies, too, with a nice friendly sandbox and very useful freebies (not just newb avatar sets, but things like script texture and script collections can be found there)

BTW, Carl was also instrumental in setting up the new "portal" in Caledon Oxbridge (as was Desmond). It's essentially a Victorian Orientation Island, and well worth a peek if you haven't seen it.

You can also check events:

http://secondlife.com/events/index.php?date=1222326000&category=26

You'll need to copy and paste the link, that should be a link for education which is where NCI classes are listed.
