problems with permissions on my land for hotel

Ok I've now got 8400 some SQm of land which houses my store and now a large 30 room hotel Im renting out. I have 2 main problems.
first is that I orignially allowed residents to create prims. to decorate, I turned the allow residents to create button on and thought that was the trick.

oooops, I left and came back to find I was now missing 2 scripted doors and sex bed and a ENTIRE floor section of one of my rooms. I replaced all them only to come back the next day to find and enitre sidewalk missing. So I turned this item off.

The question is, when i've rented in the past, I move in set my home to there and makea few pics. It seemed simple. What do I need to set up to allow my residents to do this with out tearing up the place. (by accident Im sure. they are great people - no griefers) Also AFTER I turned the persmissions off one time I came back online to find a floor piece shoved way out of line like 10m. It was easy to replace but still.

MY SECOND problem is me. even when Im not building, if Im about the shop and Im clicking on stuff to see if it works. It seems I can wiggle the entire universe if I so much as waver a fraction when I have my moue down. This makes for tense times and SL is not about being tense.

PS I bought a really nice TV radio set. set up custom channels and all. And now when anyone turns it on everything freezes to the point Im ready to take it back out. Im running 1900 soem prims on a 1992 allowance right now, give or take. Ive trie dto keep scripts as low as possible but.... I've still created lag. any anti lag sugestions?If I took out all my note card givers. of the store and put them in one part of the lot would that helP?

I'll make some attempts to answer, but this is a lot of guesswork without being familiar with the specifics. It sounds like your residents have the ability to edit and/or return sections of the hotel. This shouldn't be related to whether or not they can create objects there. Is the hotel deeded to the land group? Do the residents have the ability to edit/return the groups objects?

If you are having lag that is caused by scripts, it won't matter where you move them. If they are on the same sim, the same processor is running them. Texture lag could also be a big problem for hotels. You should get familiar with the window that pops up when you type Cntrl-Shift-1. At the bottom of that winow, there's a time part that you can open up. If the total frame time (not the same as the frame time at the top) is under 22 ms, you are not having script lag in the sim.

I don't know enough about the other issues to even attempt a guess. Hopefully someone else will be able to help.
