i was thinking about updating myself to premium again. if my business owning alt sends me a postcard or some other form that causes a referral, will my alt still get the bonus for referring me to premium? or does that only work for newbie members to second life? i read the page that dicsusses it, but it was vague. The actual upgrade to premium does not have to happen at the time of signup for the referring person to get the bonus - that I know because I just got a bonus for someone that upgraded, but they had their account for a month or two before they did it.
I *think* that the ability to associate a referral name with your account only happens at signup though. So if your account already exists, at the time of upgrading to premium there is no way to add a referring person.
You also mention going premium *again* - I don't know if the bonus would pay out a second time regardless - or pay out if it is not your first time going premium on that account.

I have a ‘friend’  who’s been getting $L500 every month for people they referred and that’s well in excess of $L2000. Did LL change something? This ‘friend’ checked their Transaction History (he's anal and downloads it every month) and there are some $L1000 referral bonus’s too, for just one person. Some of these referral bonuses have been going on for over a year now. Does that sound right? Anyone else getting those type of payouts per referral?  Maybe they should file a support ticket  ….ah hahahahahaha! |

If I remember correctly, it is 500L when they go premium, another 500L after the next month, and then the final 1000L after one year. ~~~~ Corrected based upon web page: ¹Referees must be billed successfully for two billing cycles in order for the referrer to receive credit. Referral credits are then given according to the following schedule: - L$500 at the beginning of the referree's second billing cycle, approximately 31-35 days after they upgrade.
- L$500 one month after the first credt.
- L$1000 one month after the second credit
