All on the same sim I have three parcels, one of these is up to it’s prim limit and I would like to ‘borrow’ spare prims from one of the other parcels. I think this can be done but I haven’t a clue how, can anyone help ?

I don't think so.
There oughta be a negative prim. ... or a whole economy in prim credits ... I wish I hadn't said that. |

If you have the parcels in the same sim, you can link them so they all share prims. No need for them to touch each other. I think you can do that via the land options but haven't done that myself, so you'll have to experiment a bit.

As far as I am aware, you just keep building until you reach your limit, including the spare prims.
I asked a similar question in this a thread not long ago (post #26 onwards) /327/61/196157/2.html#post1779576 Hope that helps ![]() EDIT: Ok so maybe I was wrong lol. sorry ![]() _____________________

Claire, I meant the actual process of linking them.

So, in the About Land window, the Objects tab has two relevant numbers: "Simulator primitive usage," which counts all the prims on all the parcels in the sim with the same owner, and "Primitives parcel supports," which is just about an individual parcel. If you own multiple parcels, all their individual "parcel supports" numbers add up to the "out of" number for the total sim prim usage. As Claire said, you can just use the prims across the parcels in any distribution you like, without linking the parcels together, if you want, or you can link them into one big parcel as Novis described; but you don't have to link them for prim-distribution purposes.

As long as you DO have other plots in the same sim under the same name or group, you can keep adding prims to one of those plots until you have reached your 'sim allowance', the sum of allowances for all your plots within the same sim. |

I stand corrected then - last thing I heard was you had to link 'em. Since I only have a single plot, I never put that to practical use.

There are other advantages to linking. It can be nice to be able to control all the music and video streams from any of the plots, to set their various permissions (e.g., auto-return) all at once, and to have parcel-management scripts work on them all as one. For example, if you're using the Clocktower Network to populate blacklist access control, it's nice not to have to rez a probe prim on each little plot.
