Hi folks~! Yup....I'm going to look for another island here shortly. But, since I was out of the loop for the past couple months I'd like to get an idea of reputable folks to 'rent' from. No I do not want to BUY a homestead....the only way I would buy is if I could afford my own region. Otherwise....I'm content to be a loyal renter and just pay my tier to have my 'space' in the cyber world. So....I understand that naming names isn't good PR, therefor I don't want a list of who NOT to deal with.....just if you know of anyone solid with decent prices who will rent....I'd love to at least begin my search. I'll probably secure one in the next couple weeks. (it's such a nice thing to have steady employment again, lemme tell ya lol) many thanks gang.....I've missed you guys~!!

What are you planning for it, Milla? Will you reopen the gallery?

I'd say contact Desmond or Zoha. Few other names that I cannot think of right now. My experience from when I was still renting: stay clear from price stunting estate owners. They're more likely to dissapear than an Estate owner like the 2 I mentioned here.
Ow and offcourse:.
Welcome back!

Thanks gang.....I found a couple possibles......just need to wait a bit more...see how my funds look. I plan on doing the same type of thing.....another gallery...and I have the building in mind already......and my skins shop...... but I've got to spend a little time working out exactly what I want to do this time. For the moment I'm just hanging out in my funky apartment in the Staten Island sim.....which I am loathe to give up, really. I love that sim! It reminds me of the cities back home (which Florida is sadly lacking)

I am also actively looking for a new estate in which to rent, as it is looking like a strong probability that the estate I have called home for nearly a year now is not going to be able to make tier this month due to too many vacant parcels.
One estate I am looking at is the Lionheart Estate. It has a nice city feel to it, and there's a variety of different parcel types (riverside, lakeside, beachside, hillside, hilltop, urban, rural) available; plus, renters get full parcel owner rights. Tier is roughly L$1.89 per prim, which is a bit cheaper than what I have now. The only real downside I can see is the initial purchase price, and the covenant forbids unattended solid/physical pets. Although I plan to get rid of my chickens, I had planned to start raising rabbits, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to do that there.
Can I do better than this? Is there a large estate out there that is stable, gives renters full parcel owner rights, costs no more than L$1.89 per prim per week in tier, and will allow me to raise a few rabbits?
ETA: I am not looking for a specific land area, though it has to be able to comfortably fit my 20x32 house; rather, I am looking for around 600-700 prims.

Thanks Nicki..... Katheryne, I'm not looking for an estate parcel as you describe...I'm looking for an entire homestead. But.....since you have your own question you might want to post a new thread so folks don't miss your inquiry here. I had a fantastic landlord for a couple years....Lucy Horton.....you might want to contact her and see what she's got. She's an absolute doll and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for land parcels!

For a while I have been renting at Regent Estates (Melody Regent). Grandfathered homesteads cost 8000 linden/week, very reasonable in my opinion. Stable landlady too, has been in SL for quite a while!
