Hello. I have a 1024 parcel that was nice and flat until I built a house there (that didn't fit) and it terraformed the land -- which meant it dug some deep holes in it. I worked for an hour or more using "raise", "lower", "flatten", "smooth", etc., and I still have sloped and uneven land. Is there an easy way to make a parcel flat and level again? Thank you.

Flatten the whole parcel rather than trying to run the bulldozer tool over it.

Click the apply to selection button.

If you can't manage it with the built in tools, IM me and I can give you a simple to use scripted object that should do it.

I've been doing 'landscaping' for some years and never, ever found a tool that is as easy as the integrated terraform tool. You need to raise the land first, raise it high, then use a mix of flatten and smooth to get it where you want. Select small sections, 512, to begin with until you get the hang of it.
If you are still struggling drop me an IM and I'll run you through how to make it work.

I've done just the opposite of what Dingthat Bellman posted above.

With the built-in terraforming function, select the entire parcel, as Ciaran mentioned. Lower it as low as it will go. Keep lowering until nothing changes, which will flatten the land. Then raise the entire parcel to the desired height.

Careful raising right up to flatten the land, raise it too much and it will return things.

Something I only just discovered after I put a 100 metre spike right through the middle of the house I was placing.

You guys are crazy. Raising? Lowering? If you want it flat just right click ground, select Edit Terrain, select Flatten tool and keep hitting apply until you achieve the desired results.

oh I wasn't raising to flatten, I was raising to hide, only I forgot I had power set to full and bang 100 metre spike where I wanted a small "hillly" bit

Dear Everybody,

Thank you for your suggestions! I went to the land, selected it all, pressed "flatten", and it was flat! The key was to not use the bulldozer tool, or whatever those white thingies are.

Thanks again!
