refund/profit split vendors require debit permissions

don`t trust the stuff when it doesn`t comes from the creator`s store as it could be modified

Hiro has a store where you can get it, lookup his profile :)

It's common for vendors to ask for debit permissions. Many need it to issue refunds (for example, the buyer pays the wrong amount for the object on display).

Some other vendors may also send a small commission to the vendor's maker (the vendors that do that will have documentation to that effect).

You might want to edit out the name from your post.

If you're unsure of the source asking for debit permissions then say no. The chances are it's legitimate, as explained above vendors often need debit permissions if they may have to refund or split sales fees but if you're unsure, then just say no and don't use it.

That vendor is legit. Works really well for being free. And as has been said, vendors need debit permissions in order to issue refunds.

Alicia had it right. Many vendors require debit permissions so that they can refund users who pay the wrong amount, and also, as she said, in case you are splitting profits with someone else, so that the vendor can send the other resident their share.

It is possible that a malicious user could have modified the freebie object before it got to you, though, this is true. But Hiro's original freebie vendor is completely legitimate.

If you have any doubts about something like that, test it using an Alt that has next to no money, before you do it "for real". If it's a freebie then it's easy to do.
