good lord I think my avatar knows!!!

I just crashed, and when I logged back in and went into appearance mode to continue with what I was doing (skins)

my shape had changed!!
(I am not kidding, this was eerie)

I am going to show 2 snapshots, one of what the shape and skin was supposed to look like, and one of the skin and shape I saw when logging back in
(and I was not working on shape, so no weirdness of sliders or anything as it was not even open on that) and now the shape is gone, I checked all my kid shapes and this particular one is not there!! (dammit, I wish it did save it, it is a cute, yet sad face LOL)

edited to add, I just tried to make the face look like that, and I find it is not working, anytime I reduce the lower lip it makes the teeth show.... very very strange

Oh, wow! That's almost scarey!....lol Your avie really does look said, almost like the crashing broke her heart. That's odd....I think I'd be really freaked if I logged back on and saw my avie looking like she was on the verge of tears.

Were you wearing an emote HUD or something? If not, it's even more weird.

I even tried to mimic this shape, but can not do the eyebrows like that, and the mouth, I could get it close fiddling with the sliders, but the teeth always showed through the lips a little.

It looks like the animation/gesture (?) "worry" used in emotes and that can be found in the library under gestures ---->other gestures. Perhaps a rogue gesture, like the times when I log in and am in hover mode or trying to stick my head up my butt. It happens on occasion, but not too often.

Try out the worry gesture and see if thats the look.

I NEVER use gestures except the smile one and that is cuz I use which is what I have the smile set to

Later on you will try to log in with your avi and you will just see a blank spot where your avi will be. Then you will see your avi looking at you from the hallway in your house...

That's definitely one of the canned facial expressions. There are various random things that can cause these to trigger. Was a period last year where when someone hopped on a poseball rezzed by certain devPose devices, anyone standing within a few meters of the device would involuntarily perform the built-in cry gesture (with sound and everything). Who knows what triggered it in your case.

SL doesn't allow for total non boobs, and it sucks!!!

the way the lighting was it makes it look like she has boobs, but when I wear the facelight it washes it out.

so needless to say, I did not have the facelight on in those pics.

I have found that the width of the chest can not be reduced, and the width of the waist can not be increased (without looking strange)

so when wearing T shirt and jeans the kid looks like she has boobs.

(doing the cleavage to be closer distorts the tshirt to show it as tiny boobs pushed together)

Clothing makes a big difference too

I redid a couple sliders, here is a revised pic (still tweaking kid shape, it is good to get a new perspective, thanks for the comments)

Don't forget the tummy-chest overlap too... I have some t-shirts where the bottom part of the picture is either squished or cut off by an overlapping tummy. My skin handles the overlap fine, it's just the shirts. (T_T)

The only fixes I have found is to either only wear high-cropped shirts or use the one stand pose in my SassyGurl AO that makes me lean back a bit.

I look soooooo mean in that pose. (=_=) *insert sad face glitch here* (^_^)

yeah I tried to make it where it will not cut into any part of the clothing, without stretching the shape too much, hopefully I succeeded LOL

hmmm maybe I should make some t's that are pretty much blank on the lower part, just for those avi's that have that problem hehe

yes kids are hard to do, never realized it till I started doing mine

although it has been very fun
I think the most fun was making the shoes LOL
I sooooo hate seeing little avatars with big feet, sooo annoying
so I made some small shoes, and made them fit
should see the boots, oh I sooooo totally love them (and usually I am very critical about my own work)
then again, I love minatures in RL, so seeing properly sized footwear for child or childlike avatars, is enjoyable to me hehe

the one in the pic I used prims to imitate the toes, (not extreme detailed, just needs to give the illusion of toes) would love to get some sculpt toes but alas, do what I can with what I can) hehe

(and dammit SL had to decide to boot me now! GRR)
