Sending SL snapshots to sites that allow posting by email

When you send a snapshot email from Second Life the snapshot appears to be an inline jpg file and there is also included another inline jpg file of the SL logo.

Some sites such as blog sites or social networks allow posting by email.

Anyone know of any such sites that work well when sent a snapshot from SL? Working well meaning that the post body and image appear as one would want them to?

I just tried sending to my hellotxt.com "personal upload address" and that didn't work.

Hey, I sent a snapshot to my friendfeed email address and that worked ok. The subject appears, a small version of the snapshot and the SL logo appears, and the email body also appears. When you click on the small picture, a bigger version appears.

Not bad.

I may not understand your question, but are you looking for something like Snapzilla? You can email snapshots there, and even edit them with Picnik, resize, save new copies, share on other sites, etc. It's an Sl specific site, so SL only pictures.

Of course new users might not know about Snapzilla, part of Cristiano Midnight's sluniverse site, which also houses the sluniverse forums, and well, who knows what else. He's probably added some stuff I haven't tried yet.

I suppose that if you use the Snapziilla "relay to Flickr" function, and you have your Flickr account linked to friendfeed, that you can send a snapshot to snapzilla and have it go to friendfeed via flickr. I don't have a paid flickr account, so I'm over the 200 viewable pics for free account limit.

I wish Cristiano would let us relay Snapzilla shots to Photobucket.

I tried the Posterous site. The picture cuts off the top of the first line of text underneath it, otherwise it worked alright. I'd never tried Posterous before although I'd heard of it. There's so many social media sites it's hard to even read about them much less try them out.

The snapshot emails used to be bit different than they are now, they had a bunch of little gif files that don't seem to be there anymore. Snapzilla, being custom designed, removed them. There's still a SL logo jpg file in the snapshot email, which Snapzilla removes, while that extra picture appears at both posterous and friendfeed.

I sort of assumed you did.

As for sending pics on to Photobucket, it's worth asking. He has been adding lots of new features over there, and if it can be done he very well might add that too.

What about Koinup? That is a site specifically for metaverse snaps. I know that you can post directly to it with an email address; don't know how the SL client does at formatting and sending to it though. Haven't tried to do it yet. It may be a good option for you to try.
