New to Events. Can I have Travel Seminars

I was reading the rules on Events and it says no commercial items. I am a RL travel agent and I thought it would be fun to host events on Alaska, New Ships coming etc. Would I be able to set this up as an event or can only send it to my group. I have an office set up in SL already and I just thought it would be fun to try.

Commercial-type events are allowed, there is even a commercial category but pick whatever seems to best fit your talks. (Keep reading all through those rules, the first section might be misleading). What you propose is really the kind of thing the listings were intended to carry.

What's supposedly not allowed is plain old advertising in the events listings, that is, things that aren't really events but disguised as such. Even though those aren't allowed, they make up the bulk of what you'll actually see in the listings :/
