I tried teleporting to Bishara and got the long slow progress bar to nothing. Cannot even teleport from the search window and cannot teleport home. Anyone else having problems TPing? Is this a repeat of the problems for the past 2 days?

This happens every now and then when things get heavy in SL or when the Gremlins get restless. It is not a big issue. Just log out and log back in with the name of the sim you wish to teleport to in the location bar under your name in the login screen.

It does bite, but it is a small price we pay for a little slice of virtual heaven. :D

It might have been region related or ISP related because I crashed after the third attempt and seem to be ok TPing to Bishara now. SL has had network problems the past 2 days so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping this is just the occasional SL hiccup.

Ha.

3 consecutive days now where I have not been able to tp onto my own sim or people to put of it. I have a club and other commercial interests on this sim. 2 shows cancelled, loads of annoyed people, disgruntled performers, each losing several k in Lindens, lost credibility and not a scrap of information from LL apart from the occasional blue message not to rezz stuff.

It is the latter that really gets my blood boiling - the lack of communication or information.

Imagine leasing a shop in your local town where the landlord every now nd then locks the place up for 2 or 3 days at a time without giving reason but expects to still collect rent for those days!

Premium prices for a crap service LL. Get yer act together.....

Am I becoming cynical in my old age?

No it's not just another SL glitch moment. It's apparently a repeat of the last 2 days. It's in the SL Grid Status Report now. Time to logon to something that actually works.

Actually, the way yesterday's report reads it seems to imply they didn't proactively resolve anything, but rather that the problem went away by itself. If that's true we can expect more of the same over the next few days.

I don't understand the disjunction between when things go up on the grid report and when they are announced in world unless the ability to make the announcement inworld is also being affected. Yesterday I didn't see an inworld message until 2 hours after the problem was acknowledged in a grid report.

Yep, I'm actually only postin on the Forums today cause I can't log in right now, lol.

I wish somethin (effective) could be done about the bots vs. real people usage problem. In the "old days" (...actually not too long ago) I could almost ALWAYS log into Pooley (region name), come hell or high water even when most folks on the Forum couldn't get in-world. Even that don't work for me now...so I'm eatin random munchies like sardines w/ applesauce, & a can of beans, unheated. MMMM

I'd say keep trying but I'm not sure if there is a point when the network problem affects teleporting, moving accross regions, asset transfers, group functions, rezzing items, uploading and building and scripting. I guess you can logon to chat with friends but that is the only thing that is reliably working right now. :p

I'm in Tabula Rasa now. Last week someone on one of the game's forums actually suggested implementing the ability to build housing like in Second Life. I posted back that would be a great way to kill the game by destroying it's network stability. :p
