SAME! I cannot buy land with the new windlight viewer. I am back to the old version ... and it aint much better as far as performance goes. If this is not my computer, (which is about a year old) then this is the worst performance I have seen in months from SL. ALSO, when buying land, the land is setting itself back up for sale. LL is aware of this and I am not sure if I am the only one.

i've given up on windlight.
i can run windling in "ultra" graphics settings and while the sky and water effects are great ... i'm finding too many avies who are invisible EXCEPT for their name tag.
back to the "regular" viewer for me.

FWIW, it's worked pretty good for me. I usually keep my graphics set low in it, except when I am shooting photos. At low setting, it flies for me. Mari

The windlight viewer itself woks just fine in fact with frame rate increases on my older systems, granted the frame rate tanks horribly if I turn WindLight on, but none the less WindLight is my viewer of choice. The fact is that my systems only crash regularly if something is not right with my systems, I push them too hard, or I set my graphics settings too aggressively.

Let me reiterate. Everything was fine with Windlight, FULL settings with no problems...UNTIL this week. Now I can hardly run either, which tells me either its my video card or SL is conflicting with my video card with current versions.
Land buying is also not good right now with EITHER versions. They are both faulty.

Windlight (mac) has been very stable on my machine, until I installed the new one. Now seems unusable

From: Xplorer Cannoli ALSO, when buying land, the land is setting itself back up for sale. LL is aware of this and I am not sure if I am the only one. I wonder if this can create a ping-pong between land bots buying-selling to another land bot endlessly?

Until this latest update, I didn't have much in the way of issues with Windlight. This version has caused my poor GPU to have the dread VBO issue. Something it didn't have with any other version of Windlight. *scratches head* Ah, well.. that's SL for you.

For those having the problem with invisible people (except for their name tags) I have discovered that if you get them to sit on a pose ball sometimes they reappear. Obviously this will only work if you are a getting one or two people who you know that are like this for you.

I'm not familiar with this new invisible avatar problem in Windlight though I have heard of it's existence.
The old, long standing problem of invisible avatars dating back to 12-22-03 and before has traditionally been dealt with by changing your active group.

I've been crashing a lot lately, but this coincides with a change by my RL to an inferior broadband service - big mistake!
