Need help please :)

Ok, I've finally got my broadband up and running woo! I've installed Second Life onto my computer, but when I get in world I'm having a few problems

I can't edit my appearance! I can change my outfits by dragging my outfit folders on, but I have no hair! i have my prim hair attachments, but no hair base between them. IU am wearing the newbie hair bunches. I need to change this anyway but I can't get onto the pie menu with the profile and appearance edit option thingies. Can someone please help me?
I've tried tping to a new place, relogging, changing my outfit, removing all attachments and it just wont work!

I'm not sure why you are unable to edit your appearance the regular way, but there is another way you can attempt to access that menu: Go into your inventory, expand the 'Body Parts' folder and find the hair and/or shape you are wearing. If you right-click one of these two items in your inventory, click 'edit', you should get into 'edit appearance'.

I relogged, Detached everything, and Tried a different outfit. I don't know what happened! oh well.

EDIT: actually, forget I even said that, still can't edit appearance, only through editing my clothes I am wearing.
Also I have just noticed that for some reason my title is saying 'Pie Thrower'
wierd...
I can't get into my profile to check if it is something to do with my groups thing, though can't see why it would say that.

It's also in the regular menu...

Hang in there. A few things to be aware of if I'm reading your question correctly:

Second Life is still having a few issues right now. Be patient -- things get better.

When you drag a folder onto your self it pretty much replaces EVERY attachment with what's in the folder. So if your hair is disappearing, try wearing or attaching items in the folder individually. I don't drag whole folders onto myself any more.

I'm such an impatient idiot aren't I? lol

I can now get in through the edit menu onto my appearance and profile. Thanks Hiro and Ava.
Realised it was a group title that named me pie thrower. Didn't even think about that group lol. Thanks for your help guys. much appreciated

I've decided I will finally visit the hangout I think, as my first port of call after being out of sl for so long. My comp is super laggy tho lol

Not hard to be impatient in sl though is it.?

I would love to acquire the knowledge to script and build with sculpties and all that stuff in an afternoon.
