hiya briana,is the traffic count acurate on a sim,as when u search a sim and see traffic count Yes. However, it can be inflated by 'bot' (extra logged in accounts) accounts sitting on the parcel as well driving up the traffic total. This includes campers. Sometimes traffic goes bizzaro world and will show zero for a day or few, but not often. _____________________

Linden Lab has assured us all that the method they use to calculate traffic is so complex that mere mortals such as you and I could never hope to figure it out. Of course, you could also just assume one avatar one minute on a parcel will equal one traffic point, and you'd be fairly correct.
Traffic is very accurate for calculating this complex and mysterious formula, but because there are free, anonymous accounts, its possible for one person to have many many alternate accounts logged in at the same time on the same parcel as "traffic bots", which are account created specifically to "game" or render inaccurate "traffic" calculations. So on the one hand, traffic calculations are 100% accurate. On the other hand, they are utter bullshit ![]() |

In other words, apart from the odd days when there's a problem with the traffic system, the traffic for a parcel is always accurate (traffic is per parcel, some of which are whole sims). But what was counted doesn't necessarily reflect a parcel's popularity, because all avs that spend time on the parcel (a store or club, for instance) are counted, and they sometimes include bots that are often there for the purpose of being counted, and camping, which is also often there for same purpose. So the traffic number can't be used to judge a parcel's popularity.
