 So....having read a great article on how to promote and properly market new products in SL....I decided yesterday to do some serious leg work and create preview packs of my stuff.....I was so happy to be proactive.....normally I get too overwhelmed and feel nothings going to work..... So....one of the suggestions is get magazines to review your goods......sounds like a great idea....right...ok.....so I start browsing groups to find fashion & style and similar magazines....as well as arts & culture since Arpes is really a created as a non-prof gallery.... Well...pppffhhh....here's a bugger.....half the flippen magazines I tried contacting.....don't even exist any more! LOL Of course their groups exist....and show well over 100 members....but the magazines are defunct! Why the heck don't these people dissolve their groups! One guy got back to me and said he hasn't run a magazine in SL for 2 years.....yet his group shows over 400 members!!!  Anyway.....leading to my question.....anyone know of some good 'active' magazines/publications that are distributed among SL residents? I thought I was being smart looking in groups....but it turned out to be a pain in the ass.  |

If you can tell me how to attach an excel file in a PM to you...I can send you my list of current active media outlets...quite a few SL magazine's and newspapers.

Go to a busy sim they will have a magazine stand. Go to a popular clothing store they will have magazines. Those ones always seem to have a recent issue.
Take the magazines.
There is also a SL newspaper - and a few literary zines, I am pretty sure.

Jumpman Lane runs a magazine.....not sure if that's going to help you  Ummm Honeybear gave me one the other day, a magazine I mean! Unvogue, that was it, maybe drop Honeybear an im, I don't know if she's involved in it or not. |
